SPEECH THERAPY

Outpatient speech therapy helps individuals with communication, cognitive, and swallowing difficulties through individualized treatment plans, typically provided in our clinics or telehealth. These services are designed to improve a patient's ability to speak, understand language, think clearly, and swallow safely. The therapy can address a wide range of conditions, including speech disorders, language delays, swallowing impairments, and cognitive-communication difficulties.
Key aspects of outpatient speech therapy:
-
Individualized Treatment:
Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) conduct thorough assessments to develop tailored treatment plans addressing specific needs.
-
Scope of Practice:
Outpatient speech therapy can help with various communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, including those resulting from stroke, brain injury, Parkinson's disease, head and neck cancer, and other neurological conditions.
-
Therapeutic Activities:
Treatment may involve exercises to improve oral motor skills, strategies for social communication, and techniques to enhance swallowing function.
-
Goal Setting:
Therapy aims to improve a patient's quality of life, enhance communication skills, and promote independence in daily activities.
-
Collaboration:
SLPs often collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychologists and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive care.
-
Convenience:
Outpatient settings allow individuals to receive therapy while maintaining their daily routines. Telehealth can be provided via approved video-audio platform.
-
Progress Monitoring:
Regular assessments and communication with the therapist and family ensure the treatment plan is effective and adjusted as needed.

Physical therapy is an integral part of your recovery. You may just had surgery, suffered from a stroke, hurting due to injury, or undergoing pain from arthritis. Our approach is individualized. We design our plan of care based on your needs and goals. We also work in collaboration with your doctor to ensure that our treatment for you in our clinic are effective and appropriate.

PHYSICAL THERAPY
Occuaptional therapy is a discipline that aims to promote health by enabling people to perform meaningful and purposeful activities. Occupational therapists work with individuals who suffer from a mentally, physically, developmentally, and/or emotionally disabling condition by utilizing treatments that develop, recover, or maintain the client's activities of daily living. The therapist helps clients not only to improve their basic motor functions and reasoning abilities, but also to compensate for permanent loss of function. The goal of occupational therapy is to help clients have independent, productive, and satisfying lives.
